On-going KDramas that I’m currently watching and why

July 2022

Alchemy of souls, Link: Eat, Love, Kill, Yumi’s cells 2, Cafe Minamdang

I love watching multiple dramas at a time and have picked up this habit of watching ongoing dramas. Since most of them are aired on different days and only 2 episodes are released every week, it is not too much to catch up with the latest episodes.

After I finished watching Our blues, Sh**Ting stars and Love all play last month I started watching some new dramas to quench my thirst for some drama.

4 on-going KDramas that I’m watching in July 2022

Alchemy of souls

I love my weekly dose of fantasy, magic, mystic and beautiful scenery with some action. While I was playing Genshin Impact I kept thinking of the trailer of this drama and decided to go for it.

I mean just look at these visuals!

It keeps getting better with every episode and I am looking forward to how it turns out.

It’s funny.

There is action.

There is a hint of possible slow burn romance.

You can watch it on Netflix.

Link: Eat, love, kill

This show has brilliant cinematography. However I started watching it for Moon Ka Young and Yeo Jin Goo. It’s not just that though. The trailer looked good and I LOVE watching any show that has a lot of food. Since Yeo Jin Goo is a chef and opens his own restaurant I knew that I would love to see that aspect. The love and mother daughter relationship are added pluses.

There is humour, action, love and mystery that makes me look forward to the new episode each week.

You can watch it on Disney+ hotstar.

Yumi’s cells 2

I loved Yumi’s cells season one. I gives you insights into human psychology. The entire conversation that happens inside one’s head and how it differs from others is so well portrayed in this show that even though Yumi’s cells 1 ended with Yumi and Wung breaking up I decided to watch S2. Also, I was kind of rooting for Yoo Ba Bi but looks like that is not going to happen.

Since the show is based on webtoon, it is already established fact that Yumi ends up with Sonrook, a character that hasn’t yet appeared in the show.

Cafe Minamdang

I absolutely loved Doom at your service and so when I saw teaser of Cafe Minamdang I knew I wanted to watch it. This one is funny, full of mystery and action and well, there is also romance. So basically, everything that I love.

While I decided to watch these I also dropped watching Welcome to Wedding Hell because it wasn’t as much fun for me.

I have not started watching Extraordinary Attorney Woo but that one is definitely on my list.
