Café Minamdang – Honestly biased review

Have you watched Doom at your service? Because the Doom killed it in that role and my heart just kept fluttering. So it was only fair to watch Café Minamdang. Not just that, I also loved the trailer and the premises of the series.

Café Minamdang Review

The first episode where Shaman Han Jun (Seo In Guk) is introduced is very interesting. When you watch it, you would like wow what an entry. However, Ha Jae Hee’s entry is very unrealistic. I mean there is an obvious exaggeration and it is not really funny.

Nam Han Jun is a criminal turned Shaman who takes money from rich, uses his criminal profiling abilities and his sister’s (former NIS agent) help to look like a Shaman was is talking to spirits, who is actually trying to the catch the person responsible for his best friend’s death. Ha Jae Hee is looking for her brother’s killer.

one plus one = two. They are looking for the same person!

Romance is almost zero at the start but the very very few lovey dovey scene in the later episodes make it up for the absence.

Action can be found left, right and center.

Mystery is also everywhere till you get to episode 15 and then your mind will be blown!

Comedy is kind of cringey… sometimes it will make you laugh…other times you’ll question it.

Watch Café Minamdang if …

  1. You are a hardcore fan of one of the cast members.
  2. You WANT to watch it because you watch all the dramas.
  3. You’re okay with small flaws if the overall picture is good.
  4. You’re looking for something sans romance.
