Hold my hand

I saw you at the examination hall and I knew you weren’t the brightest of the lot. But your goofiness made me smile. I don’t know if you noticed that. I don’t know if you remember seeing me there.
It was a long time ago.
We were just kids back then.
But that goofy smile got stamped in my head.

The letters

My could have been,
I looked at you. You looked at me.
We always had these staring contests in our free time. Sometimes from across the class, sometimes in the lobby, sometimes when we saw each other momentarily in between classes.

Anyway, if squid game was your very first Kdrama then you still have a lot to explore and how about starting with some of the interesting fantasy Kdramas. The thing about Kdramas is that they are well-made, the production value is high, the storyline is well thought of.

Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 – A must read

By Cho Nam Joo

Translated by Jamie Chang

These 163 pages were very heavy. I don’t have a reason why I picked this book but I am glad that I did. The book is set in South Korea but I’m sure a lot of women out there will relate to it inspite of the geographical differences.

Eggless Chocolate Almond Cake Recipe

I wanted to bake cake last week and I had limited ingredients. Since I couldn’t order more ingredients, I decided to use what I had. This is my mom’s recipe. We’ve been baking eggless chocolate cake for ages and my dear friend Gwen helped us modify the recipe to make it moist and avoid cracks. So here we go – Eggless Chocolate Almond Cake:

How to bake eggless chocolate cake

Ingredients

  1. All Purpose Flour/Maida – 1 cup
  2. Milk Powder – 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee – 1/2 cup
  4. Sugar – 1/2 cup
  5. Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
  6. Baking Soda – 1/4 tsp
  7. Salt – a Pinch
  8. Milk – 1 and 1/4th cup
  9. Cocoa powder – 1/4 cup
  10. Almonds – As per your liking

Directions

  • Mix all the dry ingredients.
  • Slowly add milk and keep mixing.
  • Grease your tin.
  • Pour the mix and leave it for 5 minutes.
  • Bake in preheated oven 180F for 20 -25 minutes.
  • Do the toothpick test to see if it comes out clean.
  • Cool and unmould.

If you bake it, tag me in your Instagram pictures ❤️

I binge-watched My Love From Another Star

Remember when I told you that I don’t binge-watch… that I savour each minute of each episode… well, that changed when I started watching My Love From Another Star.

Let’s say I keep on going for next episode and before I could realise, I was on episode 21 – the finale.

The drama is from 2013. Yes, it’s older than any other drama that I’ve watched. And honestly, Kim Soo Hyun looks very very young. I don’t have to say it out loud my actions show it all but let me still tell you that I loved it.

The song You are my destiny has been living in my head rent-free for a while now.

Watch it for a good dose of romance, for stars and beautiful interiors and for some funny moments.

That’s all from me.

Currently I am watching Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Yumi’s cells, Doom at your service, Something in the rain. What about you?

Fight for my way – Lol a lil

Now this one is from 2017 but it is a good one.

A good mix of romance, action, comedy and drama.

I watched it because I saw a lot of the scenes in some of the edit videos on YouTube and because of Park Seo Joon 🙌
