Crash course in romance – First impression

I did not start many weekly Kdramas in 2023 and since Alchemy of souls and Unlock my boss ended last week, I didn’t particularly have anything new to watch this weekend. So, I clicked on Crash course in romance. Why? Well, because I am a bigtime Hospital playlist fan and I know Jung Kyung Ho is a great actor.

About the main characters

Nam Haeng Sun used to be a national athlete, a handball player. Circumstances led her to quit playing and start working. She now runs a banchan store. She is full of energy and positivity.

Choi Chi Yeol is a star teacher ✨ meaning, he is a very popular instructor at a private education centre. He works hard, has a lot of money and implements showmanship in his lessons. However, in personal life he struggles with his relationship with food.

This is their love story.

My thoughts on episodes 1 and 2

I love strong female leads and the lead of this drama is exactly that. The drama isn’t hold my belly and roll on the floor kind of funny but it is funny. I can already see that the leads will have great chemistry. Also, Choi Chi Yeol’s signature kick is fun.

I love how there are so many supporting characters and each has a unique personality.

So far I liked it enough to look forward to the next episode. However, I do wonder how is this story going to stretch for 16 episodes. We will see.

For now, I’d say it is worth watching.
